Maira Kalman’s eclectic, playful, and vibrant art inspired me to interpret the organic placement of everyday objects in her work typographically. It was a tough balance between sophistication a gala event requires, and the playfulness that Kalman’s paintings deserve. This project taught me a lot about handling large amounts of copy and interpreting concepts typographically.
